We are trialling free local delivery to DD8, DD9, DD10, DD11 & AB30 postcodes

Store News

Hi Folks

We hope this latest Blog finds you all safe and healthy and enjoying the Summer weather (if you find some please let us know).

As we are seeing an increase in customers from our local area here in Angus we thought we'd like to try out a free delivery option for those customers.

To qualify for the option you will have to spend £30 or more (before Postage charges) and live in the UK Postcode areas starting with DD8, DD9, DD10, DD11 and AB30. You will also have to provide us on the order form with a contact phone number that we can call you on to arrange a suitable time for delivery (as we will not be leaving parcels on doorsteps or under wheelie bins like some others might do). We will be offering delivery Monday to Friday, from 1pm to 7pm. We will try to oblige you if these times do not suit but please contact us first before placing your order so we can discuss other options. We will be maintaining proper social distancing and hygiene measures at all times during deliveries.

If you fit the criteria above and wish to use this service then all you have to do is select the free local delivery option at checkout, remembering to provide your contact number, and then wait for us to give you a call. We can't guarantee next day delivery but hope that in most cases we will be able to get your order to you within 24 to 48 hours of receiving your order.

One word of caution, as it will be Duncan doing the delivering in person we don't want to be making repeat journeys unnecessarily so please make sure that (barring emergencies of course) you will be available for the time slot we agree on as we reserve the right to charge for any delivery re-attempts or orders that subsequently have to be posted to you.

If this service proves to be popular we will look at streamlining the fulfilment communications to include email/sms updates on delivery times, add more delivery options etc much as you might expect from the large online retailers. We will also be monitoring the costs and if at all possible we will add more local postcode areas if the demand is there.

If you have any questions or suggestions with regards the above please let us know.

Stay safe and healthy

Duncan & Anne B
