Colourcoats US Navy WWII Pacific Delux Colourset
Sovereign Hobbies Colourcoats delux enamel paint set for US Navy WWII in the Pacific.
Features 10 x 14ml tins of enamel paints matched to the originals including:
For Late 1941 through 1942 two-tone camouflage schemes this set features:
1 x ACUS05 WW2 USN Light Gray
1 x ACUS06 WW2 USN Blue-Gray
For the 1943 "Tricolor" schemes, this set features all 4 (yes, four) colours present:
1 x ACUS07 Semi-gloss Sea Blue ANA606 used on upper surfaces of wings and horizontal tail
1 x ACUS08 Intermediate Blue ANA608 used on fuselage sides and vertical tail
1 x ACUS33 Non-specular Sea Blue ANA607 used on top of fuselage and leading edges of wings
1 x ACUS37 Insignia White ANA601 used on undersides
From mid-1944 the Navy changed to an all-over blue colour, distinct from the Sea Blues used in 1943:
1 x ACUS34 Glossy Sea Blue ANA623
To complete the national insignia with increasingly popular paint masks, ensuring the correct appearance against those lovely sea blue camouflage colours (a particular problem with some kit decals being off-colour), you will find:
1 x ACUS39 Insignia Blue ANA605
For the interior of your model, from late 1943 onwards ANA611 was theoretically in use, but Bronze Green #9 was in use in many types before then, and was one of those colours that just wouldn't go away, right until the Cold War infact!
1 x ACUS09 Interior Green (ANA611)
1 x ACUS30 Bronze Green #9
