Shipping policy

BlackMike Models dispatch orders daily during the working week under normal conditions*. We dispatch orders to the Royal Mail Sorting Office at 9.00am (Mon-Sat) so any orders placed after that time may not be dispatched until the following working day so please bear this in mind with the T48 option**. 

Prices and Services:

Standard Shipping is free within the UK on all orders of £60 or more however there may be a charge for the "DPDLocal" service if you select that option (If restricted items are included in your order shipping will default to DPDLocal at no extra cost to you).

For standard shipping we use a Royal Mail Tracked 48 service for Large Envelopes. A Royal Mail Tracked 48hr service for non restricted small packages (up to 45 x 35 x 16cm 2Kg max) and medium packages (up to 61 x 45 x 45cm 2Kg max). Royal Mail's terms & conditions for T48 does not guarantee delivery within 48 hours but aims to deliver within 48 hours of posting, working days only.

We use an Royal Mail Tracked 48hr for restricted items under 2kg (e.g. Mr Hobby paint products)*** and a DPDLocal service for items 2Kg to 20Kg (please note this service is 2 working days from when the Courier collects the parcel not from the time of your order and that DPD T&Cs apply). We normally dispatch RM and DPD orders to the collection point before 11.30am on weekdays (Mon-Fri) to ensure collection that day (so please bear this in mind when selecting the "DPDLocal" option). Once delivered to the collection point the delivery process is out of our direct control. For oversized items we reserve the right to use another Carrier at our cost. 

Due to the increasing use of Credit Cards to purchase individual pots of paint we have had to introduce a minimum spend for these items which is £5.00

Currently we do not ship outside of the United Kingdom.

 

* There may be delays in dispatching orders during periods of bad weather, when we are attending Model Shows, holidays etc. We will notify you if any delays in processing your orders are expected.

** Please be aware that if your order is placed after 8am Monday-Friday it will not be dispatched until the following working day and on Monday for any orders received after 9.30am on Saturdays. This is due to the opening times of our local RM Sorting Office. Royal Mail T&Cs apply and RM does not guarantee delivery within but aims to deliver within 48 working hours of posting.

*** Restricted items are items that cannot be posted outside of mainland U.K.  These include items such as Mr Hobby paint thinners, Primers, lacquer paints etc. We reserve the right to substitute your postal selection at your cost with Evri, DPDLocal or an equivalent overland based delivery method for restricted items. We will notify you if your chosen shipping method is not suitable for the items in your order.

**We are aware that there is a slight glitch with shipping charges when a customer orders both Standard and Restricted goods in one order. Currently the system automatically charges both postage costs where it should only charge the Restricted shipping cost. We do always refund the difference and we are working with our website designers to fix this issue however please be patient with us and let us know if you have not received your refund if this happens to you.**
